  1. Have you ever tried drinking the eggs whole? I have a boxer friend who does that, I can’t tell if it’s to get protein in the morning or a party trick to make everyone else at the breakfast table feel sick.

      Yes I have tries drinking the eggs whole. Raw eggs supply protein to your diet. One egg contains approximately 6 grams of protein, less than 1 gram of carbohydrate and 186 milligrams of cholesterol per large egg. So surely your boxer friend who does that is doing it for protein in his diet.

      For your further information, Eating raw eggs over a period of several months can cause biotin deficiency, according to the website Biotin.com. This occurs because a protein in egg white, called avidin, binds with biotin and prevents its absorption. With cooked egg whites, this isn’t an issue. Biotin deficiency can cause skin rashes, hair loss and neurological problems.
